When you contact Driftless Technology Solutions through a website form, email, or telephone, you may provide your name, business or organization name, email address, telephone number, the type of help you are seeking, and information included in your message.
How we use information
Information you provide may be used to:
- Respond to your question or request
- Discuss a potential project or service
- Prepare an estimate, proposal, or service agreement
- Provide requested services
- Maintain appropriate business and legal records
- Protect the website and prevent spam, fraud, or abuse
We do not sell personal information, use inquiry information for targeted advertising, or add people to marketing lists without separate permission.
Website hosting, security, and analytics
This website is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, which may include IP addresses, request information, browser information, and security signals.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to identify automated abuse. Turnstile processes limited browser and network signals for security purposes. It does not receive the text written in the contact form.
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics and GoatCounter to understand aggregate website traffic and performance. These services are used without advertising profiles or conventional cross-site tracking. GoatCounter does not store visitor IP addresses, complete user-agent strings, cookies, or persistent tracking identifiers.
Contact form delivery
Contact form submissions are processed by a Cloudflare serverless function and delivered through Resend to a Fastmail-hosted Driftless Technology Solutions mailbox. We do not intentionally store contact form submissions in a website database or include their contents in application logs. Technical request metadata may be processed or temporarily retained to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the form.
Resend temporarily processes the submission and delivery information. Fastmail stores the delivered message in the Driftless Technology Solutions mailbox until it is deleted. Each provider handles information according to its own privacy and data retention practices.
Retention
Inquiries that do not result in a client relationship are generally deleted within 12 months after the most recent communication.
If an inquiry results in a client relationship, relevant correspondence may be retained for the duration of that relationship and afterward when reasonably necessary for service delivery, contracts, accounting, taxes, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations. Technical and security information may be retained by service providers according to their respective policies.
When information may be shared
Personal information may be shared with service providers only when necessary to host the website, prevent abuse, deliver communications, or operate the business. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful legal process, protect legal rights, or address fraud and security concerns.
Driftless Technology Solutions does not sell personal information.
Your choices
You may ask Driftless Technology Solutions to provide, correct, or delete personal information associated with an inquiry. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for contractual, accounting, tax, security, or legal purposes. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information. No method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Client service data
This policy addresses website visitors and initial business inquiries. Information processed while providing managed IT, website, cloud, or related services may also be governed by the applicable proposal, service agreement, or other client terms.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when website features, service providers, or data handling practices change. The current revision date will be shown near the top of this page.
